Here are some guidelines to help as you prepare your items for the sale. To see what is acceptable and not acceptable for the sale, view the Acceptable Items page.

Supplies Needed

HANGERS – in order to protect your clothing items, we only accept plastic hangers. You can purchase hangers from from Wal-Mart, Target, or Rhea Lana's Amazon Storefront..

STRING TAGS – Avery White Marking Tags Strung (size 1.75 x 1.093 inches) are required on each item to affix our barcode labels. You can purchase string tags from Wal-Mart, office supply stores, Rhea Lana's Amazon Storefront..

SAFETY PINS – You can purchase large quantities of safety pins from the Rhea Lana's Amazon Storefront..

BARCODE LABELS – If you would like to print your barcodes at home, you'll need adhesive address labels size 1"x2 5/8" (30/page). You can purchase labels from Wal-Mart, Target, office supply stores, or Rhea Lana's Amazon Storefront.. All barcode labels must be printed in color.

OTHER SUPPLIES – You’ll also need re-sealable bags (for shoes, small toys, etc.), masking tape, scotch tape, and sharpies. You can purchase other supplies from Wal-Mart, Target, office supply stores, or Rhea Lana's Amazon Storefront..

Clothing

The better they look, the better they sell! Please take time to wash and dewrinkle your clothes if necessary. If the clothing has been stored in totes for a good amount of time, a quick wash will help them sell better! Do a thorough quality check - we do not accept any clothing with stains (no matter how small!), holes, tears, excessive pilling, pet hair, or dried out elastic. Clothing should be free of all odors including but not limited to pet odors and smoke of any kind.

We will be double-checking at the event as we receive them and will not accept any item that is not in excellent condition.

Use small plastic hangers for sizes 5 and below. Use larger plastic hangers for sizes 6 and above. Hangers from retail stores and pants hangers are fine. We do not accept metal hangers. Plastic hangers can be purchased at retail stores, discount stores, and often found for free on buy nothing groups and FB marketplace.

All pants must be clipped or pinned to the top of the hanger, not folded over, as they tend to end up on the floor.

Safety pin all sets and accessories securely together with pants hung on the back of the shirt at the waist. Both pieces need to be visible without unpinning them.

Clothing that we do not accept: used socks, used underwear, vacation destination shirts (other than Disney), clothing dated with a year (such as "Disney World 2023"), youth sports jerseys (the kind your child would get from their own sports team), or any kind of fundraiser shirt (that has sponsors on the back for example). If you have a question, just ask!

Shoes

Please only bring your like-new shoes!
1) Write your consignor ID and price on painters tape on the bottom of the shoes or inside the footbed of each shoe. This will help if they get separated.
2) Zip tie the shoes together! Place the string of the string tag through the zip tie.
3) If the shoes have no where to attach a zip tie, secure them together using rubber bands or a gallon bag.

We do not accept shoes with scuffed toes, worn out soles, dirty soles, or holes. Light up shoes need to have working lights on both feet. For the Spring/Summer sale, we will not accept winter boots.

Bedding

We accept kid-themed bedding in crib, toddler, twin, and full sizes. Due to the Ohio Department of Commerce Regulations, all bedding for Spring 2026 MUST be hung on a hanger. We are no longer able to accept bedding packaged in plastic. Per the law, we are NOT allowed to sell crib bumpers!

Blankets

Hang and pin blankets over adult sized plastic hangers so that shoppers can see them. If they are small receiving blankets, group 2 or 3 together and hang all of them on a larger hanger together. Due to the Ohio Department of Commerce Regulations, all bedding for Spring 2026 MUST be hung on a hanger. We are no longer able to accept bedding packaged in plastic.

Grouping Items

Smaller items sold in bundles can be grouped together in plastic bags. Seal with clear packing tape. Tape the string tag's string to the outside of the ziploc bag. Write your consignor number and info on the ziploc with a Sharpie in case the tag comes off during the sale.

This is a good method for grouping items such as hair accessories, sets of small toys, books, bottles, and more.

Toys, Furniture, Equipment

Must be clean and in working order with working batteries if applicable. Small parts must be bagged and attached to the main part using a zip tie. Write your Consignor ID and price on the accessories bag. If parts get separated, the item will not sell.

Games should be taped closed and include ALL pieces. Puzzles should be wrapped securely in clear plastic wrap (Saran wrap or moving wrap) to keep the pieces intact. Toys not packaged appropriately will be pulled from the sales floor.

Regarding stuffed animals, we only accept licensed characters, Squishmallows, Beanie Babies, and ones that are battery operated. If selling a group of stuffed animals, please secure them together with zip ties. We are no longer able to accept stuffed animals packaged in plastic due to State of Ohio regulations.

Large Little Tikes Toys and Furniture are in high demand! When tagging large toys it is best to also attach a piece of masking tape to the toy with your consignor information. This will enable us to sell your toy even if the tag comes off! We sell 95% of Toys, Furniture and Baby Equipment!

Toy recall information- Due to the high number of toy recalls during the past year, we will be inspecting toys very carefully. We reserve the right to pull any toy that we think might have been recalled. To help us, please do not bring any toys that have been subject to a recall.

Due to the Ohio Department of Commerce mattress display regulations, we are no longer accepting mattresses for cribs or toddlers beds UNLESS they are paired as a set with the crib or bed.

Car Seats

Your car seat must have at least ONE YEAR before expiration. For the Spring 2026 sale, that means the expiration date may not be before June 2027. It must not be subject to recall or have been in an accident. All seat covers and straps must be thoroughly cleaned. You will be asked to sign a car seat waiver stating your car seat has all the pieces and is in excellent condition and that you are the original owner. Car seats will be closely inspected for safety reasons and we must be able to see the label that includes the manufactured date.

Large Furniture

If you would like to bring large furniture pieces to our sale you may do so but please make sure they are for children only (example: a kids bed frame is okay, but a living room couch is not).

We are no longer able to accept mattresses UNLESS they are paired with a crib or toddler bed and can be displayed IN the crib or bed.

Because of our high regard for the safety of children and in light of the recent ruling by the CPSC, Rhea Lana's Inc. will no longer be accepting ANY cribs manufactured before December 2010. Cribs manufactured between December 2010 and June 28, 2011, must have a certificate of compliance and not be recalled to be consigned with Rhea Lana's. Any crib manufactured after June 28, 2011, and has not been recalled, can be consigned as long as it meets Rhea Lana's quality standards.

Junior's Clothing

To ensure the best shopping and consigning experience in the juniors section, we are implementing a specific brand list for our Spring 2026 sale. We accept ALL BRANDS OF ACTIVEWEAR. We will also accept any brand of apparel for local sports teams (Bengals, Reds, FC Cincinnati, UC, Xavier). We do NOT accept prom dresses or formal dresses. Clothing must be current styles that have been in the mall/store in the past 3 years and on-trend for today's teenagers.

For clothing in general, other than described above, we will ONLY accept the following brands in Juniors sizing: Abercrombie, Aerie, Aeropostale, AG Adriano Goldschmied, American Eagle, Aritzia, Articles of Society, BKE / Buckle, Brandy Melville, Carhartt, Champion, Citizens of Humanity, Columbia, Converse, Disney, Forever 21, Free People, Gap, Guess, H&M, Hollister, Hudson, Ivory Ella, J.Crew (juniors styles - no blazers/office wear), Joe's Jeans, Jordan, Judy Blue, KanCan, Levi's, Lucky Brand, Madewell, Miss Me, Mother, The North Face, Old Navy, Pacsun & brands sold there, Paige, Patagonia, Pilcro, Pink by VS, Pistola, Rag & Bone, Ralph Lauren (Polo only in juniors styles), Rock Revival, 7 For All Mankind, Shein (price cheap and bundle), Simply Southern, SO, Steve Madden, Spiritual Gangster, Top Shop, True Religion, Universal Thread, Urban Outfitters, Vans, Victoria's Secret (PJs/activewear only), Vineyard Vines, Wild Fable, Wrangler, Zara
